Displays a list of tools to format a paragraph or a heading

Paragraph

Formats the selected text as a paragraph.  Usually adds spacing above and below the paragraph.

Blockquote

Formats the selected text as a block quote.

Preformatted

Formats the selected text as preformatted text.  This can helpful to display text that contains coding or special characters.

Heading 1

Formats the selected text as the main heading or heading 1. Search engines pay particular attention to these headings.

Heading 2

Formats the selected text as  a heading 2.

Heading 3

Formats the selected text as  a heading 3.

Heading 4

Formats the selected text as  a heading 4.

Heading 5

Formats the selected text as  a heading 5.

Heading 6

Formats the selected text as  a heading 5.

Bold

Bolds the selected text.

Italic

Italicizes the selected text.

Underline

Underlines the selected text.

Remove Formatting

Removes the formatting from the selected text.

Strike Through

Puts a line through the selected text.

Superscript

Makes the selected text a superscript.

Subscript

Makes the selected text a subscript

Font Sizes

Changes the font size of the selected text to the font size selected

Text Colours

Changes the colour of the selected text.  The grid on the left is to change the background colour of the text and the grid on the right is to change the colour of the actual text.

Transparent Background

Makes the background of the text transparent.  The colour of the website behind the text will show through.

Default Text Colour

Removes and colour formatting for the selected text so the colour is now the default text colour.

Apply Text Colours

When the background and text colours are changed the toolbar remembers the formatting and shows it in this icon.  Clicking this button will change the selected text's background and text colours to match what is show.

Bullet List

Creates a bulleted list.  List items can be entered at the bullet.  Hitting return will create a new item in the list.

Numbered List

Creates a numbers list.  List items can be entered at the number.  Hitting return will create a new item in the list.

Paragraph Formatting

Displays a menu of possible paragraph formats.

Left Justify

Left justifies the selected paragraph.

Center

Centres the selected paragraph.

Right Justify

Right justifies the selected paragraph.

Fully Justify

Fully justifies the selected paragraph

Outdent

If the selected paragraph is indented this will remove one indent.

Indent

Adds an indent to the selected paragraph

Link

Horizontal Line

Adds a horizontal line at the point where the cursor is placed.
